“When children interact with open-ended materials, they enter a world of “what if” that promotes the type of thinking that leads to problem solving and theoretical reasoning. Open ended materials enhance children’s ability to think imaginatively and see solutions”. Shona Sanosi, Blue House Founder.
Our weekly Playgroups offer families an opportunity to initiate routine and support your child in making social connections. Children grow in confidence, joining their class group at the same time each week, with our team of experts leading families on a journey that builds upon the previous weeks discoveries. Our Playgroups take children on a sensory journey through sight, sound, touch and even smell and taste.
Click here for more information about our Playgroup Series from 9 July to 2 September 2018, inspired by children’s schemas of play. “Schemas” are the building blocks for the brain, repeated behaviour that in turn forge connections, patterns of unfolding, learning and growth. The repetitive actions of schematic play allow children to construct meaning in what they are doing – hence our theme, Again Again! Join your child across the summer as they exercise their senses, testing, hypothesising and exploring our interactive environments.
